In this universe, Christianity does not exist
Scenario
The city of New Rome faces a duel between Cesare Catilina, a brilliant artist who advocates for a utopian future, and the greedy mayor Franklin Cicero. Between them is Julia Cicero, whose loyalty is divided between her father and her beloved. Francis Ford Coppola wrote the screenplay in the early 1980s, but the film was shelved in part due to his financial debts. Pre-production finally began in 2001 after 30 hours of second unit filming and table readings with Paul Newman, Uma Thurman, Robert De Niro, James Gandolfini, Nicolas Cage, Leonardo DiCaprio, Russell Crowe, Edie Falco and Kevin Spacey, but the project was scrapped after attacks on 9/11, because the scene from the script (page 166) is "predicted" attacks. Coppola abandoned the project entirely in 2007 and did not resume development until 2019. At 9:40 PM, Catiline’s character utters the phrase "Holy Jesus Christ!" in wonder. However, within the universe, the city of New Rome emerges from a culture based on Roman mythology (example: 54:47, dedication to Vesti; 01:55:51, someone says "Cronus’ will", or at 01:56:49, a statue of Saturn is prominently displayed, while there are many more depictions of Roman deities) . There is no reason for Catiline to use the phrase "Holy Jesus Christ!" in such a context..
And, well, I
Cesar Catilina: *You* want to help me?Julia Cicero: Yes. well, I want to learn. Cesar Catilina: And you think one year of… medical school gives you the right to plow through the wealth of my Emersonian mind? Julia Cicero: Gives me the right? Caesar Catilina: Yes. Julius Cicero: [mockingly] Does that give me the right? Caesar Catilina: Yes!
Caesar Catilina: YEEEEEE!
Julius Cicero: Does that give me the right? Julius Cicero: You have no idea about me! Do you think I’m nothing, just company? Cesar Catilina: No, not nothing, but I save my time for people who can think. About science. And literature, and… architecture and art. Do you consider me cruel, selfish and insensitive?

I am. I work without caring what happens to anyone. So, go back to the cluuuub, strip everything down, and stalk the people you enjoy. Julia Cicero: Okay! I will. Caesar Catilina: Come back when you have more time!. "Ultimate IMAX Experience" version of the film features a live actor who asks questions during a taped press conference.. Coppola does not shy away from engaging in political commentary as well as reflections on human existence
My Promise Written by Grace VanderWaal Performed by Grace VanderWaal Courtesy of Columbia Records In Arrangement with Sony Music Entertainment Produced and Orchestrated by Kris Kukul. "Megalopolis" is a movie I wanted to like, primarily because it was an incredibly expensive indie project, written, produced , financed and directed by the legendary Francis Ford Coppola—an auteur who has been planning this work for 40 years and loves it so much that he personally rated it 10/10 on the film platform Letterboxd. Moreover, the experience of sitting in a nearly empty IMAX theater with only a few others added to the atmosphere … However, aside from Adam Driver’s Oscar-worthy performance and stunning visuals that looked beautiful on the big screen, there’s nothing else in this film that’s worthy of praise. The plot follows genius scientist Cesar, the inventor of a revolutionary material called "Megalon", who plans to build a utopian city of the future-"Megalopolis" This is one of the central themes of the film – the obsession with perfection in a world and society far from it. Envy, jealousy, greed and the lust for power are other themes that shape the essence of this work. When I think about the themes of the film, one might think that this is a good film.
